I LOVE PLICKERS
I love plickers so much. I used Kahoot a lot in college because everyone always has their phones on them, but now that Ive graduated I teach 4th grade and its almost impossible to get your hands on enough technology for all of your students to be able to play along with kahoot, and partnering them up makes it impossible to tell how students are REALLY doing.
Plickers solved this problem effortlessly. My kids each have a plicker card (I color coded their cards by table to make passing them out quick and efficient) and all I have to do is click a button on my phone and theyre reading and answering the questions. They watch the screen for their name to turn green then put their cards down and we can look at a graph that shows who answered what and discuss why we think people picked certain answers. Then the data is saved for me to grab when I need it and I can see which students are struggling, or even which questions my class did poorly on. My kids get excited when the see plickers out on my cart and they think theyre playing a game while I get to collect assessment data. Every teacher should be using plickers.
